Overview:
Woodcroft Landscapes & Nursery needed stronger online visibility for mature trees, hedging, screening plants and specialist planting services across Northern Ireland.
The expertise was there. The search visibility wasn't.
Woodcroft Landscapes & Nursery already had the knowledge, the stock and the hands-on experience. Customers who found them trusted them. The problem was getting found in the first place.
People weren't only searching for broad landscaping terms. They were searching for specific things Woodcroft genuinely supplies: mature trees, hedging, fruit trees, screening plants, nursery stock and planting services. But the pages most likely to catch that demand weren't built to do it, and the best opportunities were going to competitors who ranked more highly on Google.
Social was the same story. Like most owner-led businesses, there was plenty happening day to day, but posting was the first thing to slip when the nursery, enquiries and project work got busy.
The opportunity clear: take the wealth of knowledge already inside the business and structure it across the pages and channels where customers were already looking.
Competitor research, stronger pages, consistent content.
Verosia Studio researched competitors and search opportunities to understand which plants, services and pages were already attracting traffic in the market.
From there, the work focused on improving selected blog posts, site pages and product pages so they better matched how customers were searching. The aim was not to change the visual design at this stage. It was to make the existing content more useful, more specific and easier for search engines and customers to understand.
Woodcroft supplied images from the nursery, stock updates and active projects. Verosia Studio selected, cropped, straightened and lightly edited those images, then wrote captions and scheduled the posts.
For video content, Verosia Studio went out on site to help capture short-form footage of the nursery, plant stock and project work. Those reels helped make the scale, expertise and day-to-day work behind Woodcroft more visible on socials.
The captions were written to explain what people were seeing, why it mattered and how it connected to Woodcroft’s stock, services and planting expertise. We also engaged in relevant online discussions on Woodcroft’s behalf, helping the business appear in conversations around plants, trees, hedging and nursery advice.
From invisible to ranking first, with the traffic to match.
The most convincing evidence is not a percentage on a dashboard. It is what happens when someone searches.
Woodcroft now appears prominently for high-intent plant and nursery searches, including Google AI Overview results for mature hedging in Belfast. In AI visibility tracking for mature trees and hedging in Belfast, Woodcroft holds the leading visibility share ahead of named competitors.
Website traffic and social activity supported the same story. GA4 showed year-on-year growth in active users, new users and organic search sessions, while short-form video became one of the most visible content formats. Woodcroft’s Instagram grew from 388 followers at the start of the project to 523, with one reel bringing in 110 new followers.
The project proved a simple principle: prove the search demand is there first, and everything else is built on solid ground.
