The website had outgrown its original setup.

Karen & Co already had a strong business, a distinctive fleet of self-built campervans and a brand with real travel appeal.

The original website had helped the business get moving, but over time it had become harder to manage and improve. Extra plugins had been added for navigation, FAQs, booking functionality and other site features. That kind of setup is common when a business grows from a practical DIY starting point, but it can eventually make the site slower, harder to maintain and less effective for search and bookings.

Karen & Co also had strong customer reviews, but that trust was not clearly visible on the website. For a campervan hire business, this matters. People want to know the vans are reliable, the booking process is straightforward and the experience is worth planning a trip around. The trust was already there. It just was not showing up at the point where people were deciding whether to book.

The initial goal was to improve SEO, conversion and the existing booking journey. But once the site was reviewed properly, it became clear that the foundations needed more than surface-level optimisation.

To make the website work properly for search, content and bookings, the better route was to rebuild the structure from the ground up.

Rebuilding the foundation for search, bookings and content.

Verosia Studio rebuilt the Karen & Co website in WordPress with a clearer structure, cleaner page flow and SEO in mind from the start.

The site was planned around how people actually search and decide: campervan hire in Northern Ireland, specific van information, trip inspiration, route guides, FAQs and a simple route into checking availability.

Booqable was already central to the booking journey, so we first optimised the integration, then rebuilt the surrounding website structure to make the path from browsing to checking availability easier to follow.

The rebuild also brought customer reviews into the website experience, placing real proof closer to the points where visitors were choosing a van and deciding whether to enquire.

The work also included competitor research, keyword research and content planning. This highlighted opportunities around searches such as dog friendly campervan hire in Northern Ireland, boutique campervan hire, self-build campervan hire and route-led travel content.

Alongside the site rebuild, Verosia Studio created and supplied a travel content library using original Ireland photography gathered over several years. These images gave Karen & Co copyright-free visual assets for hero sections, blog posts, route guides and future marketing.

The Wild Atlantic Way route guide became a key content piece. Verosia Studio took one of the campervans on the road, capturing photography, drone footage and video content of the campervan in various locations. The content was captured with editorial use in mind, giving Karen & Co assets that could work across the website, social posts, reels, Google Business Profile updates, carousels, emails and future campaigns.

A better booking journey and a content structure for future growth.

The finished site gave Karen & Co a clearer digital foundation: stronger page structure, better SEO foundations, improved van pages, a clearer booking path and route guide content that could support search and customer inspiration.

Instead of treating the website, blog, social content and travel photography as separate pieces, the project brought them together around one goal: helping more people discover Karen & Co's one of a kind hand built campervans, picture the trip and take the next step towards booking.

The project also showed the value of capturing content with the full marketing journey in mind. A single route guide can become a website article, a short-form reel, a Google Business Profile post, a carousel, email content and future campaign material.

For tourism, travel and experience-led businesses, that matters. Good content should not live once and disappear. It should be planned so it can support discovery, trust, bookings and long-term visibility.

Karen & Co now has a website and content structure built to support the next stage of growth, from Northern Ireland campervan hire searches to route-led travel inspiration for visitors planning a trip across Ireland.
