Emma had been sharing her artwork through social media, but needed a dedicated website where people could explore available paintings and purchase original pieces directly.

View live site:

From social presence to a dedicated art website.

Emma Kinlough is a Belfast-based abstract artist selling original paintings.

Before the project, her work lived mainly on social media. That gave people a way to see new pieces, but it did not give her a permanent place to organise available artwork, support search visibility or guide interested buyers towards a purchase.

Verosia Studio built a Wix Studio website with ecommerce functionality, artwork-led product pages and SEO optimisation across the full site.

The result is a dedicated online home for Emma’s work, built to support discovery, browsing and direct artwork sales.

Emma's artwork was visible, but the buying journey was limited.

Emma already had a social presence and a growing body of original artwork, but she didn't have a website of her own.

Available paintings were hard to browse properly, search engines had very little to index, and buyers had no dedicated place to view details, check availability and purchase.

The challenge was to create a website that could act as both a professional artist portfolio and a practical ecommerce store, without making the artwork look crowded or secondary to the website itself.

Key issues included:

  • No existing website

  • Artwork mainly shared through social media

  • No dedicated catalogue for available paintings

  • No product pages for individual pieces

  • Limited search visibility for artist-related terms

  • No structured ecommerce journey for buying original artwork

A Wix Studio website built around the artwork.

The website was built in Wix Studio with ecommerce functionality so Emma could present and sell original paintings from one dedicated place.

The structure was kept simple, with clear routes into available artwork, artist information and the purchasing journey. Each painting could be treated as its own product, with space for images, descriptions, pricing and purchase details.

SEO was built into the project across the full site, including page structure, product page setup, image optimisation and search-focused metadata.

The work included:

  • Wix Studio website design and build

  • Ecommerce setup for original paintings

  • Artwork catalogue structure

  • Product page creation and optimisation

  • Image SEO across artwork uploads

  • Metadata and page title setup

  • Mobile and desktop layout refinement

Emma now has a permanent online home for her artwork, separate from social media and built around the way people browse, understand and buy original paintings.

A key outcome is that the site now ranks for “abstract artist Belfast,” helping Emma appear for a relevant local search term connected to her work.
